I have been using Pinterest for a while now and the thing that irritates me the most are the ads. I can click on a pin and an ad pops up and covers the entire content, I also see video ads too. It makes it impossible to use. Pinterest updates on a daily basis but the ad issue is still there. Anyone else have this issue?

They do not control the ads on the individual pin. That is mostly people too cheap to pay for their own webspace and they make money from the ads. I usually report those as spam. I don't usually have too much of an issue. Guess it depends on the pin you click on.

Or, I don't have adblock on my phone and I normally have the problem when I'm on my smartphone. When I try to access on my laptop, I don't experience much of the ads.

Why did you put your comment in the middle of mine? Has nothing to do with ad block. All that does is stops pop up ads. If a website is run by ads you will still see them. I immediately x out of those type pins. And will usually comment that you can't see the content for the ads covering the screen.

lol  Sometimes I think it may jack it up on it's on. I know somebody got in trouble a couple years ago for doing that.  Because it was something horrible that was posted and she put it in the middle of somebody else's comment and made it look like the other person said it. You had to have been paying attention to catch it.

I used to like checking Pinterest for ideas.  I like DIY projects.  The ads do bug me, but I also notice that sometimes I can't get to the actual Project when I click VISIT.  That makes me more frustrated when I can't find out more about the project I am interested in.

Those ads are the fault of the person behind the pin.  Most likely their personal site is supported by ads.  Or they make money off the ads. I usually just go back out of those.  Not sure if the OP means this type of ad or the ads that just show up in the midst of your pins. I don't pay attention to those. If it is something I really do not like I click "hide" and it will either not show that pin or that topic again. And the political ones they pay for you to see them so there is not much you can do.  I think you can still "report" it.  That will keep you from seeing it but then another one just takes it place.

Yes, I have an account but never really use it. I may every now and then just for ideas or inspiration for a project.
