Good card games

I'm looking for some card games to play with the family, any suggestions that are not too complicated to learn? I think all we already know is gin rummy or war.

uno is a good family card game

Uno or Mille Bornes  is fun (used to always take Mille Bornes on camping trips), you need a special deck of cards for them.  Spades or Hearts are good for a regular deck (I like Spades better)

I like pitch.  No one plays anymore.  My friend likes to play Kings in the Corner.  Pretty simple game.  I also like cribbage.  No one I know plays that anymore either.

I agree with the others about uno. My personal favorites are spades and rummy. I remember playing progressive rummy a few times a long time ago. It was super fun but I can't remember the rules.
