Should the baseball season continue?

I'm not a sports fan but with all these players getting covid what's the point in continuing?  I think it should be cancelled.

I think it should be. It's only going to get worse. The NBA is doing things right, but I'm worried things are going to go south there too.

Personally, I'm not the sports fan that I once was a long time ago.  The sports world has changed, and not for the good.  I know, that's besides the point.

I don't consider baseball, or any other sport for that matter, a necessary occupation.  With what happened in the first weekend of the mlb return, the covid outbreak, I don't believe it should continue at all.

I think it should go on. I don't think anyone should be forced to play, but don't feel they need to cancel the season if everyone is wanting to play.

I think baseball and other sports should not be playing.  This thing is and will get worse.  The Florida Marlins have over 20 cases alone.  I love my sports and I watch it all.  But this has to stop.

I am  not a baseball fan, but at this point I think all sports needs to be cancelled until this country gets covid under control!

I don't think you can force anyone to play but if they think they have the testing in place then I think they should try to get the season in.

I was just thinking the same thing this morning.  With all of these covid cases popping up in major league baseball, I wonder if they can continue to play the remainder of the season :peace:

This is a tough one. They should play so they can have a chance to not go bankrupt . Only the players that want to play though. Covid is going to be around regardless for a while we can just let every form of business die even sports. If people would of actually listened we could of had more or a strangle hold on getting rid of corona by now but some just are so ignorant to listen to anyone and do as they please.  To many businesses have gone bankrupt already. Even though we need to get a hold of virus and see it ends business needs to be able to thrive to

I think that cancellation is just going to happen naturally anyhow. Too many players are contracting the virus and soon there will be so many cancelled games, the whole season will just naturally fall apart and get cancelled.

No. With a high number of players testing positive for the corona virus it is reckless an greedy to continue. The Nationals, Brewers, Phillies, Marlins, Blue Jays and Cardinals have all cancelled games due to the virus. To continue is not only pointless and is risking lives. If allowed to continue, why not change the league name from Major League Baseball to Death Race 2020? Will the winner of the World Series come down to whoever has the most unaffected and living players? Everybody in the world is currently making sacrifices, why should the league, baseball players and fans be immune to making sacrifices? What kind of message is this sending to the public? Hello public, baseball is playing, everything is better , now go out, let your guard down and get the virus.

We have been starved for professional sports for so long. Of the four majors, baseball has the least amount of physical contact.

But with the way positive cases are escalating among baseball players, it is irresponsible for MLB to not suspend the season.

I don't really care. I do not watch sports. May as well just shut down the whole world and everybody stay in their home til they die.

There is no way any sane person can be stupid enough to believe that ONE person could enter a stadium of thousands and thousands of people and that ONE person can be cov positive and infect the entire stadium. You would have to be brain dead to believe that.  Sadly we are surrounded by brain dead people because a lot of people DO believe that.  The virus is not that contagious.  If it were every person in the country would have had it by now.  And if they have then that proves it is not that serious.  People can't have it both ways.

I don't think anyone is going to think everything is better by watching baseball games. The games are played in empty stadiums with players and coaches wearing facemasks.
