Amazon Fresh
« on: August 14, 2020, 10:48:53 am »
Does anyone use Amazon Fresh? Not exactly sure what it is. I assumed where you can purchase groceries off Amazon? The only things I have seen as far as candy or grocery items it was either 10 times the price at Walmart (like the single box cake mix for $17) or it was going to take 3 months to get it delivered.

I need to find some yeast. Our Walmart is always out. Apparently everybody is taking up the art of bread making.  :)

We don't have a Kroger. I just thought it might be easier to order it online. I am not exactly sure which one I need to be using. One says "quick something" on it. I have used both. I usually get which ever one is available. The dept manager for that area says it gets gone as soon as they get it in.

I had a hard time finding yeast at Walmart, too! I finally made a special trip to Publix to get it. I think you're right and a lot of people are taking up bread-making. Also, I've never used any kind of delivery service for my groceries. No paid shopper will be as picky as I am about my produce, meat, and dairy! Plus, I'm way too cheap to pay extra for groceries.  :peace:

I just started seeing this amazon fresh thing but I'm not sure what it is. I tried to buy a can of peas or something on amazon and it looked like I would have to sign up for this whole other thing.. I said no thanks. They seem to have another equivalent for clothes now.

I don't want to use the paid shopper thing. We have that at one of our grocery stores and Walmart. I don't like dented cans. Or squashed boxes. haha There are just some things I might order.  I ordered a pack of candy that had 6 in the pack from Amazon. But that is about the only food thing I have ever ordered.  I am not interested in ordering all my groceries. Just a few things here and there maybe.

You have to be careful. Lot of stuff you have to uncheck the box or you are signing up for a script where they send it every month. I wanted one package of candy (I was ordering other stuff anyway) and def don't need it every month. Lot of stuff you have to buy a case. I looked at ordering from Dollar Tree but you have to order 12 or whatever a full case is of everything. I only want one or two. I am not afraid of going out, a lot of people are terrified to go out of their house, but I don't make unnecessary trips.  I go to work and we go to Walmart a couple times a month.

For any one who does not know and wants to know. Amazon Fresh bough Whole Foods.  If you order from Amazon Fresh it is fulfilled by Whole Foods. So you need one of those in your area.  OR this is what a customer service agent told me when I called about another issue.  I just ask while he was on the phone.
