Republican Administrations Lead for Number of Indictments
« on: September 05, 2020, 04:24:24 pm »
A Facebook post recently claimed 317 criminal indictments under 3 recent Republican presidents and only 3 under 3 recent Democratic presidents.  Per PolitiFACT, the claim is essentially on target for the Democratic presidents, but the comparison to the GOP presidents is overstated.  However, there were roughly 142 people indicted in the 3 GOP presidents' adminstrations! A lot of difference there!

I think they got the numbers backwards. I guess that post was made by a Democrat. :D  When I see posts like that, I immediately go on the internet and look for "truth." Sometimes it doesn't take long to verify if its right or wrong and sometimes it takes a long time.  If it takes a long time, then it usually means it's not true. I never take anything on FB that seriously if it's from the media or some people.

BTW, watch out requests for friends. I've gotten quite a few lately but when I check them out, they have no history, are brand new, have a couple pictures with dogs or kids, and their friends are all from a different country and names aren't in English. Most are Muslim friends, not that I have anything against Muslims in general, but if I can't read their names, I can't trust them. They're really name fishing because of the election.

I've gotten several FB friend requests recently from Muslim sounding people with whom I have zero connection. What I don't quite understand - what is their endgame when someone like me adds them as a friend? (I have not and would never confirm a friend from a complete stranger and it has nothing to do with their ethnicity or race).

If the information comes from a facebook post, it is usually inaccurate.

I have had several friend requests too, and many are also muslim. No mutual friends and usually new accounts. I always block them.
