I think in this case the city needs to deal with this issue....

In general I have good neighbors, I live in a neighborhood with 1/2 single houses and 1/2 townhouses.  I live on the townhouses side.

Last year a couple move to a townhome a couple of houses down from mine.  And since he move in (I think he is some sort of law enforcement, i have seen him with a gun and a badge, but not sure what kind) he has called the police on more neighbors than anybody else in the 20+ years I have been here.  He would call the police on his next door neighbor for dogs barking (no matter with time of the day) and last year 1 of the neighbor's had a party of some kind (Summer 2019), it was like 4 pm and he called the police because the party was too noisy for him.  I was standing outside with some other neighbors and we could not here any noise, also it was 4 o'clock in the afternoon!! Seriously.

I have both good and bad neighbors to different degrees. But today I did something that some may consider crossing the line, but I will do it again in a heartbeat... The house across the street from us has a decent sized yard as compared to the rest of the neighborhood. We have no front lawn - only a back lawn. Our front is fenced in and is all flowers, mulch, and magnolia tree - no grass to cut. The neighbor to the left has a small strip of grass along the street/sidewalk that runs right up to our driveway. The neighbor to the right has a small front lawn and they own/maintain the narrow strip of grass in between our houses.

The house across the street was foreclosed a few years ago and has been vacant since. The new owner comes by on a regular basis to cut the grass, but doesn't live there. Most of the yard is fenced in, but there is a decent sized patch that is outside of the fence and along the street. Yesterday I could hear that neighbor out cutting the grass and then later using a leaf blower, cleaning off the sidewalk along the street outside of her fence. Today there was a considerable amount of cut grass on my side of the street gutter and on my driveway and sidewalk - which could only have come from the house across the street - whose sidewalk and street gutter were pristine. (The neighbors on each side of us always clean up after mowing their strips of grass and the one to the left always blows off anything that gets onto our driveway back into their lawn - so I know it was not either of them).

We also have the option to pay to have yard waste collected by the city. It is not an automatic citywide service, but we are signed up to have ours picked up each week on a Friday. So my yard waste container was out this morning for pick up. I swept up our sidewalk and driveway and the street gutter but instead of depositing it into our yard waste container - I walked it across the street and dumped it into the yard from which it came - over the fence. I could have easily put it into my own yard waste container, since I was already doing a good bit of weeding in our flower bed, but I didn't feel like contributing her yard waste into my paid for pickup.

If anyone saw me or if the neighbor has surveillance cameras, I suppose I could be charged with littering. But is it really littering when you are just returning the debris to the source? It's one thing to have a tree's leaves blown by the wind into a neighboring yard, but (in my opinion) something completely different when someone actually uses a leaf blower to blow away leaves or grass and doesn't bother to clean it up and properly dispose of it.

Is it legal to have that sort of mess on the side of the street? Check your local ordinances.

Living in apartments with inconsiderate neighbors is worst. So, happy I've lived in a house of my own for years now with rarely annoying neighbors!

I live in the last house on a dead end street.  There is a small parking area off the street for people in the apartment (there is 3 apts. so the parking area has 3 spaces)   The man across the street is sort of a junk collector.  Right now he has 6 or 7 cars/trucks/motorcycles and a riding lawn mower parked on the side of the road.  Some of them are parked 2 deep so that they are in the middle of the road.  It is sometimes very difficult for me to back out or pull into my parking slot.  Most of these cars I do not think are registered because before this they were sitting in his backyard for 2 years.

It just makes me really mad that he is so inconsiderate.  When he moved in a few years ago he said he understood that the parking was tight,  so he is aware. Just very inconsiderate.  I think the neighbor on the other side already called the police because of his junk leaning against her garage and junk cars dripping oil and anti freeze.

Does anybody else have a inconsiderate neighbor?

Hi!

Well I hope eventually that your neighbor has a heart and change things. I'm in a big city so I have learn to grow tolerant of other people.

If he has turned your parking lot into a junk/parking lot, then call the police.  You said

You said that the man knows the rules.  So why are you all putting up with him turning the parking lot into a junk storage.  You or someone should call the police.  Why are you all procrastinating ?  I would never put up with the guy for his disregard.

Yes I have an inconsiderate neighbor. He dumps all his leaves and other yard debris in front of my property instead of in front of his own property, to wait for the town to come and pick it up.  It is very annoying.
