What will you do on halloween
« on: October 01, 2020, 11:17:29 am »
Halloween is usually a night of fun parties, haunted houses, and of course  trick or treat. This year it may be a little different. I am not sure what kind of halloween parties there will be or if people plan on going to haunted houses or even trick or treating. Whatever you decide, be safe and have fun :)

I do not celebrate Halloween. But from what I have heard people saying I think most are going to do the same things they always do.

Probably watch a whole bunch of scary movies.

I'm not sure what I will do for Halloween. There are usually a bunch of hayrides, haunted houses and parades to attend but I don't know what will be happening this year with this pandemic.

That is never a bad option! I usually do that, too.

Starting about 5 years ago there were so few trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood that I shut off my lights and didn't buy anymore candy.  Nothing has changed!  I discovered I was tired of it anyway after giving out candy for about 40 years and the extra expense. There is already a lot of talk in my community about supervised events at places like churches and parks where they are going to celebrate.  At my age, I am over Halloween!

We don't usually do anything for Halloween. There are rarely any trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood. I think we gave out candy last year for the very first time - mainly to allow our teenage daughter an alternative to going out trick-or-treating herself. But we ended up with a lot left over.

We aren't into scary movies in our family - so it will just end up like any other regular night for us.

I don't do a big celebration for Halloween. I will be staying home and probably carve a pumpkin and watch a movie. I bought some cute little accessories to wear that day and that is it.

This Halloween I plan to shut off the outer lights on my house, lock the gate to my property, and stay inside where it's warm and watch TV. We live on a dead end street that the children don't come down anyhow and they never stop at our house anyways, because you have to enter a gate to get to it and the kids are afraid a dog is behind the gate, which there isn't.

I am wondering if others will go out to trick or treat this year. In the past years, we usually stocked up a lot of candies as there were many kids that passed by. I am afraid few kids will come out this year due to the pandemic and the passing out of candies which might involve touching. I am not sure how much candy to stock up as I won't be able to bring the leftover into the office. I will see other posts to see what others might be doing.

Not a darn thing.  I love Halloween and even before the pandemic haven't been out for Halloween in years even though I'd love too.  We don't get trick or treaters either.  No kids on my street.  I think this year trick or treating should be cancelled and no big Halloween parties either.  Just sit this one out this year.
