The answer is to this question: In many ways!  For example, industrial animal production dumps fecal waste into the environment in enormous amounts.  Lately, I read a figure that 2,500 dairy cows produce as much waste as a city of 400,000 people. 
A city treats its waste before sending it back into the water supplies.  Concentrated animal feeding operations don't have to treat their waste, which may eventually end up in our waterways.
So the question is:  Why aren't they doing this?  Why aren't governments demanding this?  Even better question, now that you know, are you going to tell your legislator and demand it?  It is past time to care for our environment.  We should be very upset with certain industries and companies.

The answer to your question is very obvious.

If our water and air are polluted.....plus we have global warming.....plus animals have nowhere to go cos forests are being cut down and burned......isnt it obvious mankind is ruining the earth?
