Weather woes
« on: December 01, 2020, 08:20:10 am »
We had the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving week with our daughter and son-in-law in their Florida coast location - we had several days lounging in the outdoor swimming pool at the house they rented for the week. I was going to post a photo or two of our last day there on Saturday when we visited the ocean beach with towering palm trees, but I don't have any pics without my wife or daughters' faces in them. But here is what we woke up to on Tuesday morning! Ugh... One extreme to the other in just a couple of days!

I don't like to go out in snow, but I think it is so beautiful and is a wonderful display of what God can create.  I love to watch snow come down and okay if it sticks on the ground, just not the streets.

I agree. If only there was a way to make the snow stick on the ground and not on the pavement! Salt works to an extent, but it is not foolproof.

When I was younger snow was  a money maker for  me. I would grab my shovel and hit the neighbors up before the others got their first. I would make at least 50 - 75 in a day. to a kid that is a lot of money :)

I really do hate the cold weather and snow.  Give me warmth all year, anytime.

So far, where I live, there hasn't been any snow.  I hope that it continue to stay that way.  Hate snow.

Ive never been there but i think i would enjoy living in Oregon.50/70 degrees and partly to cloudy days.Certain serenity to that.Soft breeze overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Really got to hate heat/humidity and dont care for cold and snow.

Better you than me. I hate snow and cold can't wait until I move back to a warm place all year round again.

Snow haters? I think that's slightly un-American.

Don't you like taking walks in a snowfall? It's beautiful and miraculous. :snowflake:

I can't compare our Minnesota weather to Florida, but we are hanging in there with 40 and 50 degree temps and no snow on the ground.

I hated the winters in northern Ohio and Northern IN. So I convinced my husband to move south to the mts of NC. This way we get maybe a snow or 2 a year. It looks pretty and melts the next day. Perfect!!

It sure is.  My sons don't get to do that where we live bc fortunately, when it does snow, it's the crunchy kind that mostly is gone by the next day.
