This question was what I posed to myself before I moved out of California. I love the mountains and I love the beach - I chose park system in Ohio with trees!

Mountains are pretty too but I am so fascinated by the beach. Maybe because I live in the desert and it is just amazing to see all that water.

I love the beach but when I was younger I really enjoyed visiting my grandparents in the mountains my grandfather would sit on the porch with me and we would watch the sunrise over the mountain never seen anything so pretty except the sun rising over the  Chesapeake Bay, which is where I grew up.

I have never really hung out in the mountains and I dončt think I really want to. I enjoy going to the beach and would not mind going sometime soon.

have to say the beach is my favorite visited a cabin in mountains with some friends once and a big black bear hit the   outside of the house next to where my husband was standing smoking. Scared me silly.

Give me the mountains any day. The seclusion and peace full nature backgdrop does wonders on a persons sanity being away from people in general. Everyone should take a me break from things once in a while . Its good for the soul

I must say, both have pros and cons, and personally it is a tie for me, I would love to live in the mountains and also  go to the beach to swim...

My favorite is the beach as I love water sports or simply lounging at the beach, not doing anything.
