Hair in your food
« on: April 21, 2021, 05:51:14 am »
If you found a hair in your food be it at home or in a restaurant could you still eat that food or would you just pick it out and eat it anyways? I myself could not eat it  :dontknow:

I have two pets that shed, so I almost always have hair in my food. I have found hair in my food at restaurants before. It grosses me out at first, but I don't like to waste food, so I just remove it and keep eating. There are probably worse things in your food than hair.  :P

There are...like bugs for instances. The last job I had, there was a food truck that would come everyday and one person found a bug in one of the food trays. If there was hair in my food, I'd removed the hair and the food it was touching and continue eating.

I would take it out and go on eating if at home. In a restaurant I'd send it back

What she said. We have different views about home-grown hair and outsourced hair.  :highfive:

If I was at home I would take it out and continue eating.  It would have been mine, not a big deal.  If I was in a restaurant I would return it ASAP.

Rarely happens so not sure what  I'd do. Would be gross. Think I've pulled out my own hair from some food.

I went to my favorite Taco Bell and I have never had issues until I ate there, took home, bite into it and pulled out a long strand of hair. I was grossed out that I threw the taco in the trash, brushed my teeth, used crest mouthwash, and thought about Covid. I never ordered Taco Bell since. I called them and the manager told me to come back ask for her and she would give me another fresh order, but I never went back.

If I'm at home I know it's mine so I'd just pick it out and eat the food.  If I'm at a restaurant I'd ask for new food.

It depends on where it's from....and where I am and what the food is...

If I were home, I might continue with the meal especially if I prepared it myself; out at a restaurant I would definitely send it back!
