Not Vaccinated
« on: May 26, 2021, 07:53:38 pm »
Am I the only person who didn't get the jab? This topic isn't made for an uproar of disrespect and such, just wondering
I have my personal reasons just like people have their reason for getting vaccinated.

No we did not get the jab either. And until there is more testing and better results will not be getting it.

The governing body of Gods organization <JWs>has deemed as long as there are NO  blood products in them,it is a personal decision.

They still support washing your hands,a clean environment, wearing masks and social distancing.

Prov 19:-20-21 Proverbs 19:20-21
New International Version
20 Listen to advice and accept discipline,
and at the end you will be counted among the wise.

21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

I am vaccinated and so are all of my family, listen to the people who knows about this, like the CDC.  But to each their own.  The results are in on testing and we are all fine.

I have received a Flu Shot every year for decades and only had the Flu once, so I have faith that vaccines are tested and proven before they get to me. I got both Covid-19 shots as soon as I could and feel confident they will protect me from those who didn't get any.

I got the vaccines a few weeks ago and I feel a lot more comfortable going out and about. I think it is a personal choice everyone needs to make - getting the vaccine was right for me.

I didn't get it still don't know if I am or not.  I want to wait.  I'm not anti vax but I don't even get the flu shot so I am leery of this one because it's so new.  There have been people who have died right after getting it and other serious side effects.  I don't know how my body is going to react to it.  It's not FDA approved it's still experimental, you can't sue if something happens to you and there's no long term studies yet.

The people I know who got it say they are fine.  My brother had some aches and felt a little under the weather for a day after his second shot.  Someone else I know said their arm ached for more than a day.  When people ask me if I got mine I tell them I'm waiting to see if their fingers and toes start fall off first.  My parents always told me never buy a car the first model year they come out because they are still working out the bugs. That's kinda how I feel about it.

The car is a weak analogy, but I bet if you were having to walk 10 miles every morning to get to work and keep from going hungry you might have a different story. If I get Covid-19 at my age (83 in a few months) I could easily end up a statistic. I will take a sore arm over one of those crowded hospital scenes any day.

I have my personal reasons just like people have their reason for getting vaccinated.

I know MANY folks that have not gotten the vaccine, not do they plan to. I did, but I wasnt convinced it was the right thing to do. I mainly got one because we love to travel and I dont want to have to deal with the issues of air travel or quarantining if I dont have it next summer when we travel.

I will say that I had 2 straight days of HELL after getting it. So although a lot of folks have very few side effects, I have severe chills, high fever, nausea, diarrhea, sore arm, headache, coughing, body aches, etc. It was absolutely horrible. I also had a cousin that had a bad case of covid, then got the shot and had bad effects, and THEN got Covid a second time and had a bad time of it. So there are down sides to the vaccine as well as possible protection.

Your choice should be made for yourself, not others.

Yeah I'm like you. I already have BAD allergies and and don't want to take any chances at all. I don't care about going around people anyways so I only take vitamins and eat right. They always have commercials on medications that cause cancer after people have already taken it. One example is Zantac. I just stopped taking all meds like that. I only take Flovent and Albuterol.

Just think about your lifestyle. Your health. Are you a social person? People have actually died after taking this and I don't understand why people were lined up to get this. They are experimenting it on us. that's not fair, it's sad. I want to trust this and I want it to go away.  Something just isn't right about this whole vaccine. They are paying people to get it to.
