Baseball pitchers

Baseball implemented this new procedure where pitchers are getting checked for foreign substances....it seems like randomly throughout the game (not sure what the exact procedure is for it)....has anyone noticed? Thoughts on it?

They want more offense in the game and think pitchers might be Doctoring the ball.

I think the way that they are doing it needs some work. It seems like it can also be used by a manager as a tactic on an opposing pitcher who is in a groove - perfectly legal - to disrupt his game flow.

Agreed.  It is also slowing the game down, check them once or even twice, but some of the managers are getting ridiculous is to throw them off.  Very few pitchers use any substance and the ones that do most everyone knows.  I feel like since the Astros cheated they are getting on a lot of things now.
