I think after five hungred posts you will move on up the chain.

Newbie = 1 to 49 posts
Jr. member = 50 to 100 posts
Full Member = 100 to 239 posts
Sr. Member = 240 to 500 posts
Hero Member = 501 to 749 posts
Elite Member =  750 to 999 posts
Silver Member = 1000 to 1999 posts
Gold Member = 2000 to 3999 posts
Platinum Member = 4000 + posts

The more posts you make on the forum pages the more points you get towards leveling up.  It takes a lot of posts to get higher up on the scale.

I actually never knew how you changed levels either. I didn't really care where I was, but good to know. I only comment because I hope one day we get forum bonuses.
