Amazon should have known better. I like shopping on Amazon, but sometimes you have to pay the Piper.

Amazon has agreed to pay $30M to settle a case related to privacy concerns surrounding its Ring devices and Alexa voice assistant. The company was accused of mishandling user data and failing to protect customer privacy. This settlement emphasizes the importance of safeguarding personal information in the era of smart home devices and virtual assistants. Amazon must now prioritize user privacy and take necessary measures to ensure data protection going forward.

I use Alexa every day and I don't feel violated. I think someone is playing some kind of game to see how much money they can grab.

I use Alexa daily.  I don't feel violated.  As a person with a disability, Alexa helps me to be more independent
