Marathon Custom Loadout Farming Strategy
« on: Yesterday at 10:57:21 am »
Trying to build a proper loadout in Marathon feels deeper than I expected. With 28 plus weapons across five rarity tiers and multiple mod slots, it is easy to get lost in combinations. I noticed that higher rarity does not increase raw damage but adds perks, mod slots, and backpack credit value, which also makes it riskier to carry. On top of that, each Runner shell has four implant slots and two specific Cores that modify abilities. When you combine that with extraction risk, farming exact pieces becomes time consuming. I am not just looking for random drops, I want a specific setup for a certain shell. Has anyone figured out a structured way to farm a full custom build without constantly losing progress?

When I was assembling a shell specific setup, I realized that random farming was not efficient enough. The Marathon catalog at LevelUpper includes a Custom Loadout service where you select exact weapons, mods, implants, shield, cores, and backpack rarity. It specifically mentions farming every piece through extraction and delivering a complete setup for any shell. That helped because I wanted certain Cores that modify abilities and implants in all four slots. There is also a separate Weapon and Gear Farming option for targeting items at a desired rarity tier. Since higher rarity increases mod flexibility and credit value, planning matters. The process is explained step by step, from choosing the service to receiving everything directly on your account.

Loadout depth in Marathon is clearly intentional. Between shells, implants, cores, and rarity tiers, the system encourages careful planning. Because gear is fully lost on failed extraction, building a precise setup requires patience. Many players focus on synergy between abilities and weapon roles rather than chasing random loot. The fact that rarity adds mod flexibility without increasing base damage changes how risk is evaluated. A structured approach to farming usually reduces frustration. In a high risk extraction environment, preparation makes a noticeable difference.
