Lately my husband has been snoring badly!
Last night it sounded like a bear was in bed with me and I had to wake him up twice to get him to stop!
It makes for a bad night of sleep for both of us.
Does anyone else have this problem? And if so, what do you do?!?

snoring can be cured by sleeping on one's stomach

Sounds like a bear? Come to my house, you would swear a jet is landing in my bedroom. I have no idea how one human can make SO much noise when he sleeps! I have tried everything and nothing works ( of course talk to him, he doesn't snore). :BangHead:

lol i have the same problem and i just wake him up and tell him to turn over
-
I sleep on my side to keep from snoring, otherwise I wake myself up.

I have seen commercials about these nose strips that you put on at bedtime. Try that it may work.

my husband snores so loud the kids can hear him in the living room while they are trying to watch t.v. i get sleepless night, but i use it as music cause my little dogs sleep with us and dream out loud by barking or make little noises.plus my husband has sleep disorder.

I don't think I snore very loud, but I've been told I talk in my sleep. I was with someone who has snored very loud, so I decide to sleep on the couch instead. I wouldn't wake the person up out of courtesy.

I heard there's Night strips to help with Snoring when sleeping. I don't know much details on it but look it up it may or may not help.

Yes I have the same problem with my husband, Once he start snoring I will go sleep in the living room

I have the same problem if my husband sleeps on his back, so I make him roll over on his side then it is all quiet. Those nose strips do work, I use them all the time. They help you to breathe better when you have a lot of sinus problems or allergies.

Can you please tell me why is it only the men are snoring and not the women? The men need to start dieting and exercise to give the wives some relief.

sometimes i do and sometimes not.....which confuses me.....

I snore a little....my children claim it's a lot.....but when I wake myself up from snoring "sometimes" I turn on my side....maybe he could have a sleep study done...I know a few people who use a c-pap machine to help them...
CPAP, or continuous positive airway pressure, is a treatment that uses mild air pressure to keep the airways open. CPAP typically is used by people who have breathing problems, such as sleep apnea.
CPAP also may be used to treat preterm infants whose lungs have not fully developed. For example, doctors may use CPAP to treat infants who have respiratory distress syndrome or bronchopulmonary dysplasia (brong-ko-PULL-mun-ary dis-PLA-ze-ah).
The main focus of this article is CPAP treatment for sleep apnea, although treatment in preterm infants is discussed briefly.
Overview
CPAP treatment involves a CPAP machine, which has three main parts:
A mask or other device that fits over your nose or your nose and mouth. Straps keep the mask in place while you're wearing it.
A tube that connects the mask to the machine's motor.
A motor that blows air into the tube.
Some CPAP machines have other features as well, such as heated humidifiers. CPAP machines are small, lightweight, and fairly quiet. The noise that they make is soft and rhythmic.
CPAP often is the best treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a common disorder that causes pauses in breathing or shallow breaths while you sleep. As a result, not enough air reaches your lungs.
In obstructive sleep apnea, your airway collapses or is blocked during sleep. When you try to breathe, any air that squeezes past the blockage can cause loud snoring. Your snoring may wake other people in the house.
The mild pressure from CPAP can prevent your airway from collapsing or becoming blocked.

I to have the same problem with my husband snoring and it keeps me up alot at night, have tried numerous things but none of them worked.
-
Maybe I'll try the breathe right strips. We have some of those, because I like sleeping with them when I'm sick.
He doesn't snore every night... last night for example was completely snore free. Or at least if he did snore it didn't wake me.
