I get cramps in my chest that hurts more than anything that I can describe. I have
gone to the doctors and they can't find anything wrong.

It might be anxiety. It is amazing how emotions that we do not really feel can affect us physically. A small amount of stress can cause more anxiety than you think. Try some relaxation exercise, yoga or even just some simple stretching to regulate your breathing.

sometimes if I sit too long in same spot.

Have you gone to a chiropractor? Maybe you have a rib that's misaligned, that could cause your muscles to cramp up since they try to compensate. It also could be anxiety or stress, like the poster above suggested.

it might be over focusing on it, after the first few times (which could have been from anything, coughing too hard, a cold, etc) now it is on your mind. I get the same way with the flu, it lasts longer, because I search for the symptoms

It could be anxiety and you not realize it. You may need some good rest. It could be muscle tension. A good massage might help as well. Hope you find out what it is and get it taken care of. Feel better!
