Debate & Discuss / Re: Ever Wonder If We Pray For the Wrong Thing
« on: April 18, 2012, 03:41:03 am »Message ID: 522657
For those that don't believe in God, I understand.  For those that believe in a God or higher power/being, I understand.  I don't pray for things to happen and when it doesn't I cry there is no God.  If I can make things in the world better, I do!  I hope everyone finds whatever they are looking for in life.

Off-Topic / Grammar and typos, could we avoid them?
« on: April 18, 2012, 03:27:41 am »Message ID: 522653
There is a plethora of grammar checking programs, mostly built in to your word processing app that people use in daily life.  Why is it when I read news articles, especially online and surf numerous websites, I find it hard to understand the point the author is getting at?  I know that I'm not the only one who feels this way!  It's like the emperor's new clothes, we are all thinking it.  I am no writing genus or a savant of any kind, I can't spell to save my life, I just want to make sure I understand correctly.  It makes me wonder do people care what they are writing about or is time too precious?  If I could work as a writer I would take pride in my work so, people know what the point is.  Also, when did "what" become spelled "wut or wat"?  Lastly, is anyone afraid that children will not do well in school due to texting?

Another thing, when did acronyms become the only way to spell?  It's as if teens have re-invented the English language.  My complaint isn't acronyms, it is the use of them.  Only use them when the people or person you are speaking to understands them.

Off-Topic / Re: Job applications and facebook password

I agree!  Don't potential employers have enough information to utilize just from an interview?  It's bad enough that you are judged by everything you say, what kind of car you drive, what your credit score is, what your name is, the amount of experience you have (regardless of education), your ethnicity, the amount of children you have, if you are sick or disabled (by law they can't, but we know they do), your age, where you were born, if you have a criminal background (as though you can never be forgiven) and a bunch of stuff they keep adding to chip away at any dignity that you have.  There are more job candidates than there should be, it sad and pathetic.  Everyone needs a way to support themselves, Facebook is not a criteria for employment!

If I could make more doing surveys, not buying more stuff I don't need doing need from ads disguised as surveys I would be happier and some of the sites don't keep rerouting me to ANOTHER survey site.  I very much like Reward TV, its fun.  Don't you wish you could make a career out of this?

I agree with the reasons for not buying cable, however, cable usually comes with wi-fi and internet so, my hands are tired.  Where I used to live cable was more expensive because, it was an apartment that contracted cable out which means the company (I won't name) monopolized their rates.  I could never understand why tv went digital other than greed.

Debate & Discuss / Re: God is a Fake
« on: April 11, 2012, 12:41:23 am »Message ID: 518959
I have more of a reason to say there is no God given the fact that I suffer with my illnesses everyday.  However, God is not as simple as an explanation.  If you have had a unique and divine awakening so to say then you will no without question.  Guess what, no one can prove God to you.  If you don't want to know that there is a God and a higher power, you just won't and never will.  My favorite way of explaining God is that if you have an ant farm, the ants do their thing while you watch them.  Yet they don't know who we are, why we stare at them and we can destroy them at any moment.  The difference is that God is on a morality unlike ours.  If a person, a human minded person was God would you be able to fix all the mess we get ourselves into without taking away our free will regardless of the outcome.

I think life is a test, some are born to test each other.  When I say God, that applies to the other Gods in the world that people believe in.  No God in any religion condones murder and basically hurting others to improve self.  Again, the morality of people is questioned.

If a company produces a harmful product selling it to the public regardless if the product appears to improve our lives.  The product is toxic to produce and toxic to consume and kills many.  Later, our government can do little to stop its horrible effects to each person.  People become sick, can't work, people die leaving children orphans.  The company has closed down and no one can recoup loses from the company.  Now the government has to pay to cremate the dead that can't afford it and pay out social security to the spouses and children.  The children and spouse may need medical care and are left paying for the medical care of their loved one that died.  I could say that this person was the bred winner in the family, this person made all the money and decisions and now they are gone. There is a domino effect that will continue for decades to come from this.

Is this GOD'S FAULT?  Is it God's fault that we all want to make money sometimes without considering who we hurt in our choices.  This scenario is not that ridiculous, it happens everyday!!!  So, God is a fake because, we cause the evil in the world.  Tsunamis are sometimes our fault.  Man is always messing with stuff.  I won't get into that as it is a whole other story.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Kids today...

My daughter has no phone.  At home she tries to live on FB.  Why do so many parents give there kids phones any.  I grew up without a cell how did I make it?  When you are broke like I am, your kids don't get anything.  Too much value is placed on technology.  A boy in Asia sold is kidney on the black market for about $1000 American dollars.  The kid wound up sick and has renal failure.

Debate & Discuss / Ever Wonder If We Pray For the Wrong Thing
« on: April 11, 2012, 12:01:40 am »Message ID: 518951
I pray all the time, even in public.  Who cares if people stare at me.  What bothers me is if I am praying correctly, if I am praying for the right thing.  I would love it if there was no more illness, pain, greed, murder, sorrow, selfishness etc.  I know that if I pray for peace in the world I won't get it directly.  Maybe something small happens to give us a taste of peace.  I stopped praying that my illness with be cured because, it just seems selfish and that I am supposed to have it.  If everyone in the world were well then we won't learn.  I pray that people can get jobs, then I see an article that says 120K jobs have been added during the month of March.  Maybe as a people with have to pray for the right things together.

Off-Topic / Re: Is thie World Going to End This December?
« on: April 10, 2012, 11:50:56 pm »Message ID: 518947
According to the Bible, no one knows.  According to Mayans yes.  My opinion is no!  If the world is ending its because of our own stupidity.  If it ends like in the movie Melancholia, I can't say that I am freaked out.  People are so selfish, greedy and just plain thoughtless.  I just ask that the end of the world be painless.  I wish we could all start over, wipe out credit scores, erase past mistakes and make everyone equal.  Or separate the people that consistently cause harm to the world putting them on a Mars with a pseudo-ecosystem while the remaining people clean up the mess and try to make this planet better.

I don't believe in contest because, it seems that no one ever wins.  I can't see how some of these companies make it seem that you can win their contests.

I also agree.  I think that people see the CC offers and connect it to a scam.  This website seems to have more credibility without all the company's trying to sell you something just for your time.

Suggestions / Check the BBB when going to other websites
« on: April 10, 2012, 11:33:39 pm »Message ID: 518941
I have been checking the TO GOOD TO BE TRUE websites that promise to pay hundreds of dollars when you pay their membership fee.  ShadowShopper.com has an F rating and there is no way that I would give it a whirl.  Keep in mind Fusion Cash is posting the company's info but that has nothing to do with them.  People please be smart with dealing with these people.  Yes, I too need money as much as the next but, I am can't sign up for that stuff just hoping that they are legit.
