We started asking for Christmas list from the kids in the family even though we probably won't shop till after thanksgiving because my husband always says were going to shop early this year but we never do so i was just wondering when will you get started!

I am already keeping mental notes of what my kids want.  My 6 year old wants every toy shown on tv, even the ones for littel girls..I typically wait until black friday to shop, because I feel like that is when the best deals start, but if I find something the kids want before and it is on sale, I get it, hide it and if I find it cheaper before Christmas then I get the cheaper one and return the other one.  I have to stick to a budget and I find that when I shop early I always go over...more time to shop gets me into trouble.

They place rules for a reason. Everything has a rule, including jobs, households. They are to lead you in a specific direction and set forth and expectations...Rules duly noted

Were you one whose parents told you to behave in order to receive presents on Christmas from Santa Claus? Do you still belief this person exist? How do you feel about someone making you belief this lie was true? Would or did you tell your kids Santa Claus is real and why?

Yes I was one of those kids that was told there was a Santa Claus.  I didn't see anything wrong with it.  I considered it all fun and part of the holiday tradition.  I have also carried on the same traditions with my kids.  My oldest daughter knows its me but even still likes the fun in it. I don't see anything wrong with it.  I play along until my kids ask me, and I don't lie to them.  If they approach me about it, I tell them the truth.  I tell them that I am santa and honestly the first thing they ask is if the presents will stop coming. So I don't think they think about the logistcs of it..they just like the idea and the presents..
