Debate & Discuss / Re: To the Christian who thinks only those who accept Christ will go to heaven....
« on: February 25, 2011, 10:10:51 pm »Message ID: 318388
So your telling me... that anyone who does not accept christ will be doomed to eternal suffering???
ok.
so what if...... i cured cancer. ended world hunger and made sure every child in the world got and education?... but heres the catch. i was an outspoken athiest who mocked religion and denied it completely. would your god send me to suffer for eternity, despite the fact of all the good i had done?
Good point, but you can't go somewhere that does't exist........

By the way, I hope you cure cancer!!

exactly. I hope you cure cancer too!

They're going to tell you that your ignorant for mocking god, when in reality its more ignorant to believe in something so completely that has yet to be proven. I've also wondered about the good hearted, amazing, wonderful people who do all kinds of good deeds but has never even heard of god or jesus. Makes me sick to think that they supposedly go to hell but all these rapists and murderers that go to prison and supposedly find god and get saved go to heaven. I mean, no one would want to go to a place like that. Think about it though, the devil was in heaven, so why wouldnt other kinds of "evil" be there too? if its real and all.

Ha! Yeah. And you know what's really funny? This idea is just as legitimate as every religion's idea of an afterlife.

lol  ;D

Oh, and I guess I forgot that we COULD go on to a paradise with 72 virgins.... not sure if that's a heavenly kind of place or not, but hey, it could happen, right?

Capitalizing words is SERIOUS bizness.  :D

so mocking god is IGNORANT? Its ignorant to mock something that may or may not be there, but its not ignorant to believe in something so completely that has yet to be proven? Doesn't make sense... but with those capitalized words, I should take it serious huh?

People who rejected God and had no use for him, will one day stand beofre his judgment throne, where they will be condemned to eternity in hell and the lake of fire

Good thing I don't work for your company. Those benefits suck!

ok and i say to you all if god is love and the puerest form and is suppose to imitate his love for it is perfect then why would he subject us to torment for eternity.....yes i was a christian yes i was a minister, but i realised one day i was preaching lies to my people and could not do it anymore,   now i am not knocking your beliefs just expressing my views on this, i believe that when we die we simply go between the worlds till we are ready (reincarnated) to try to get life right, when we do get it right then we become one with the universe.

Wow... I once was a believer as well.. not a minister or anything.. but I believed it all. How did you make that change? Was it difficult? Sorry, don't mean to ask so many questions, and you don't have to answer, but it was a little difficult for me. Not everyone in my circle of friends and family knows yet. and if I told them, I would never hear the end of it. To be quite honest, I don't want to hear it, or have to deal with the drama... so, I'm still workin on that.

Reincarnation has always been an interesting idea though. It could be possible.
I never understood the burning in hell for all eternity thing. I mean, what about the people who have never even heard about jesus, and they're wonderful, amazing, good hearted people? They go to hell? It just doesn't make sense to me.

There could be an afterlife. But I can't answer that one way or another. I believe that anything is possible though. I just don't think that what I was taught growing up, when it comes to christianity, makes any sense at all. Sounds.... this may seem harsh.... INSANE.

So, I could go on to be what I was before I was born, I could turn into a talking mushroom, or burn in a lake of fire, or go to a heavenly city in the clouds (depending on if I was saved and/or met the standards of the god of that city).... Maybe we're all apart of a reality tv show to the aliens and when we all die, we get recycled by the aliens so they can put us back to work. For the lulz, you know, on the reality show.

FusionCash / Re: Man, If I could qualify for more Surveys.....I'd really be making money

I haven't actually done a survey in a bit. I used to qualify all the time and then it would shift, and I would only qualify for some, maybe none. You just have to keep at it. We can't always fit into the right demographic that theyre looking for. I promise if you keep at, you'll get the hang of it, and then the cash will start adding up. It takes a little patience and a little time, but to me, thats worth it. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble though. I hope it starts to work out better for you. All of you.

Dont bang your head on the wall though, I wouldn't recommend that to anyone. It can be quite damaging.  :)

I guess I just don't understand how people can go through life with blinders on... having tunnel vision.... not thinking outside the box. I've never viewed things the same as other people. I'm one that always has to question everything and analyze it to a point that I almost confuse myself. lol I hope that if/when something this terrible happens that it will at least change these peoples views, at least their perspective. Have them take a step back completely and think, "What the hell were these people thinking!? what the hell was I thinking?!" Just one moment where they question themselves and what they believe, and finally think for themselves. I hate that something like this has to happen to bring people back to reality, but maybe it will?.... maybe just a little...?   :dontknow:

Debate & Discuss / Re: Should E-rated games have cursing or suggestive themes in them(POLL INCLUDED)
« on: February 17, 2011, 07:46:28 am »Message ID: 314839
What's being said and how much is being said are other things to look at too. If cursing happens every time someone speaks, then it would be wrong. I understand not wanting it in kid games. Hell gravity and those other phrases aren't curse words. If it happens that one is said maybe twice in an entire game, it is not something to give a lot of attention to.

I understand what you're saying, but the ratings are put there so that the adults know which games are suitable for certain aged children. And a rated E game shouldn't have even the slightest curse word in it. I personally don't think that hell gravity is bad, but a lot of parents dont like it and they buy these games based on that rating, believing that its rated that way because it doesnt contain adult language or any other adult material. Its like false advertisement. Why put a rating on a game if the people making the games are not gonna abide by them? You know? I wouldn't care if a few "kinda" bad words are in there, but thats not the point, a lot of parents are bothered by it. And they will make a big deal out of it. If theres anything that we've learned, people will make a big deal out of anything if they think they can profit from it.

Whoah, weird - a guy not wanting to have sex?!

okay, this is strange. I mean, you're on birth control, and he still won't have sex.. I mean its just odd that a guy doesn't want it to begin with... I'd have to say he's found it elsewhere.. or maybe has a problem that he needs to have checked out. I don't mean to worry ya, but thats a big sign that he's seeing someone else imo. or maybe interested in the opposite sex. ?? I'd definitely talk to him. or to some kind of professional. I'm really sorry about your troubles, I hope it all works out and that it isn't as bad as we all think it is.

good luck.

No they shouldnt have bad words in them. They have ratings for a reason... amirite??
They should know better than to put bad words in them.

Also, have you watched the Ninja Turtles cartoon? They say, "Let's get the shell out of here" all the time, or other things like that.

This is for slynt's last two comments
