Off-Topic / Re: Do you Dreamed every night?
« on: April 08, 2013, 10:25:21 am »Message ID: 718038
I used to dream and remember everything, now I don't dream very often, in fact, I think I haven't dreamed in a long time, and if I have I don't remember. I can't honestly say that I dream and don't remember, or that I just don't dream. But I still have some nights where I know I dreamed and I remember everything. I'm leaning more towards the not dreaming scenario because, I usually remember everything, I don't remember a time where I've dreamed something and the next day I have blurs and just remember bits and pieces, or everything or nothing.

Off-Topic / Re: what was the most useless subject you studied in high school
« on: April 05, 2013, 11:26:57 am »Message ID: 716489
People usually think that some or most subjects in school are useless, and to a certain extent, they are right. However, even though I can find many examples of how you use that knowledge in real life, the point of going to school is not to apply 'classroom content' in your daily life. Think how many times you've apply specific classroom content in your daily life? My guess is, not very often. The real point of going to school is to exercise your brain. Algebra is based on logic; when you learn it and practice it, you are really learning how to solve logical problems and to think logically. Other subjects will develop or continue development of same or different parts of your brain. How many times have you applied a specific formula with the exact same variables you learned at school in "classroom algebra' in real life? Now, how many times have you made a recipe smaller because you are cooking for less persons than it's designed for? Or how many times while grocery shopping you noticed your favorite product comes in two different sizes, and you've actually figured out the better deal or which is cheaper in a per-ounce basis? For the recipe and which is cheaper situation, you use algebra to solve it, although you don't realize it.

Think of a professional athlete, a basketball player for example, and all the time he spends in the weight room doing bench presses, leg presses, back squats, curls, etc. Of course he practices his drills like dribbling and shooting that help him in the game, but when is he ever going to need to lift heavy objects during a game? probably never (unless a basketball and all of its 22 ounces qualifies as a heavy object and it justifies all the heavy lifting in the weight room). Then why does he still do it? he conditions and builds up his muscles so that he can perform the skills he needs to do during the game, better. Same goes for the material you learn and practice in school, and your brain.

It's sad to see authority figures taking advantage of their positions. There are several ways to get your message across players, physical and verbal abuse shouldn't be one of them. I'm all up for discipline and accountability, but that doesn't include physical and verbal abuse. The university reacted to public backlash, if it wasn't for the video being released to the public, he would probably still be Rutgers basketball head coach. I'd say 99.99% of offenders are never sorry, they're only sorry they got caught.

Off-Topic / Re: Tax time!
« on: April 04, 2013, 05:06:22 am »Message ID: 715754
I have been ready, but I've been extremely lazy and been lagging it for the longest time. I do my own taxes online, and it only takes me 15-20 minutes to do it, and I've had everything I need since a couple of months ago, but I just didn't find the time or will to do them, lol. However, now I'm determined to do it at least next week, and not wait until tax day the following week.

I really love the "Coffee Lovers Only" signature creation by Cold Stone Creamery. But if I wanted to quickly go and grab an ice cream bar from a convenience or food store, I'd go with a Snicker or Twix bar, or a chocolate chip ice cream sandwich.

I'm so excited as well, I'd love me some baseball. Dodgers won and Kershaw was absolutely dominant on defense as well as on offense, complete game, shutout and HR, what a great night for him, and well deserved. Go Dodgers.

Yeah, it's basically based on the number of post you've made, anywhere in the forums sections. If you do the posting bonus, then some posts in some sections do not count towards the bonus and the posts have to be of a contributory nature to be accounted for. For solely to move up in ranks, total number of posts is considered.

I might go out and watch The Croods, Olympus has Falled, or G.I. Joe, but I think I'm more likely to hold out for next week, and go see Evil Dead, I've heard is awesome, which is saying much for a horror movie these days. Oblivion seems pretty interesting, but it's a couple of weeks away, and Iron Man 3 is a month away. So I have some options for the time being.

I guess in terms of the score and points they got, it wasn't great or impressive, but in terms of result, it was important because playing at Mexico, the US Soccer Team, had one other tie in their history playing in official competitions and the rest were loses in over 75 years of rivalry. It's worth mentioning they have 1 win at Mexico, achieved last year in a friendly match.

Off-Topic / Re: MIAMI HEAT GOING FOR THE RECORD
« on: March 28, 2013, 09:42:26 am »Message ID: 711128
I am absolutely certain that they will not break the record, as a matter of fact, I have them loosing to the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, even before San Antonio.  ;D Bull gonna say, "not in my house". I'm not a Heat hater, but I don't love 'em either, so I could care less, but in this case, I rather it'd be somebody else other than Boston or Miami to ever break such a streak.

Off-Topic / Re: What was the first video game and/or system that you played?
« on: March 28, 2013, 09:29:17 am »Message ID: 711126
The first video game I played was Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Entertainment System on a friend's house. The first game I actually owned was Super Mario 3. I still remember how mesmerized I was by the whole thing. I then went on to get the Super Nintendo along with Super Mario World, Mortal Kombat Ultimate, Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Those 4 games alone, kept me entertained endless occasions, and provided me with countless and countless hours of playtime.

I've been there as well, more often than not too. For me, sometimes a beer helps more than PM tables; in fact, PM tablets do not really work on me that good, but what really knocks me down cold is NyQuil or equivalents. I don't know what's in it, but it works every time. Exhaustion or stress can get you to a point where no matter how tired you are you can't fall asleep, and the more it goes on, the more frustrated you get, which in turn, gets you more stressed out and keeps you awake. Read a book while having a glass of wine, or watch TV after drinking some NyQuil would be best way to take care of that sporadic night. If you get those nights pretty often, then you need a change in lifestyle, maybe get yourself tired during the day by doing activities or sports, and other activities or habits already suggested.

I eat chicken the most, but I couldn't choose one or the other, both are great anytime, anywhere. It is a toss up as to which is better, because I love both the same, but in terms of eating them more often, I'd have to say chicken, no reason in particular.

Mine are Candice, Kate Upton, Cassie and the rest from the GQ videos, I have been watching those recently and have been enjoying them, not only because of their looks but because their content, sometimes backstage or Q&A's sections about the girls.

I've had success refill my cartridges, but then again, I've been doing it for quite some time. There's a point where the original cartridge isn't cutting it after certain number of refills, then it's time to buy another original cartridge, after it's empty, continue refilling until it has served enough. I've not had too much success with cheap premade non-original non-oem cartridges, so-called "compatible". I rather buy the original expensive oem cartridge once, and refill it afterwards until is no longer usable, then I repeat the cycle. I usually buy refill kits on amazon, ebay, etc, after reading reviews and opinions.
