i've never exactly understood the phrase, "you are what you eat."
obviously, you don't physically become a chicken (or chitlin in
this case). however, it makes sense that whatever you eat is
absorbed by your body and it is essentailly a PART of you...
atleast for a little while. and especially if it turns to fat.

people eat all kinds of things, though. something gross to one person
is delicious to another  :dontknow:

If that phrase was meant to be taken literally, I would have turned into about 100+ things already. At the moment, I'd be a bowl of macaroni & cheese. Yesterday, I would have been a pepperoni pizza.  :P

yeah I was joking, but I meant if people were to eat chitlins a lot they might start to smell like it. That's what some people say anyways lol.

LOL!  I think it's meant to be taken figuratively.

Otherwords, what you are is the end result of the nutrition that you had given yourself, whether from food, vitamins, minerals, etc...

I saw a funny pic on Facebook of a fat kitty with the caption, "I'm allergic to food. I turn to fat." That's pretty much it unless you avoid excessive carbs and fatty foods!

I must be a fruit or a vegetable. Take your pick! :D
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

I've been called everything from "chicken" to being "fat as a cow", so I guess you are indeed what you eat!  Of course I've also been called a wimp and a dork, but I've never consumed either, so maybe not?!  Hmmm....
