How did you bring this on yourself?   Just curious what we can do in the future to prevent this...

My Aunt had Kidney failure in her late 70s & had to do dialysis her last years of life -- in part they attributed it to too much motrin.   Hopefully you get a kidney transplant soon & don't have to have dialysis or get off it if you already are on it.  Best of luck to you!!!

I would hope no one would talk down to you.  This is a serious problem you have and I will pray you get a transplant and everything will work out good for you.  I have no way of understanding how you feel, but just be thankful there are transplants now.  All I can say is a good and positive outlook will help you get through this.  Good luck and please keep us posted.

I hope you'll be able to get that transplant soon.  There are probably support groups that you can join, talking with others going through the same hardship might help since they'll be able to understand the fears and pains you're going through.  My aunt joined a support group when she was going through her cancer treatment and it really helped her break out of her depression.  Best of luck to you.

I am sorry to hear of your health problem.  No one should or will talk down to you.  Your health means more than anything in the world.  I wish you all the luck in the world and pray that you get the kidney you need in the near future.  I wish I could help out but because of my auto immune disease I cannot give blood or organ.  God Bless you and your family.  You all will be in my prayers.

An alternative to kidney transplant is being tested right now. It is called an implantable kidney device and it looks very promising.

How did you bring this on yourself?   Just curious what we can do in the future to prevent this...

The reason I said I brought this on myself is because of my lifestyle, I have high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol.  All these things i could have prevented by taken better care of myself, like eaten healthy and exercising more.

lol.  You can't "delete" any one's reply.  You do not have that authority.  Just sayin.

Don't know how you brought it on yourself but anyway.  I don't know why you would be depressed.  If you get the transplant then there is nothing to be depressed about.  If you had to do dialysis then maybe depression would be expected.  But if you "brought it on yourself" saying you done something like drinking like a fish til you destroyed your kidneys then I can't feel too sorry for you.
