First Love.....

So... the first man I truly loved and also my "first" is someone I think about often.  We live in different countries and so I don't see him, but think about him.  I am married..... with children, etc and don't plan to walk out on my family -- but often wonder why i think about this other guy so often.

Any of you think of your "first love" even years later??  Would you contact him/her if you could?  Would you see them if you could?

I think of my first love often because I regret breaking up with him.  I contacted him a few years ago because of a dream I had about him ( I also dream about him now and then) but this dream was so vivid and I felt compelled to try and contact him.  In the dream he was being deployed (he's in the Army) I found out his email address through the Army and emailed him and he emailed me back and told me sure enough he was serving his second tour of Iraq.  He only emailed me once but I kept emailing him about a year after that hoping to hear from him again.  He's married and I'm not so I guess that had something to do with him not contacting me again.  Yes I'd love to see him again.  He's my first and only love.

yes -- once one gets married things with past relationships and "first loves' can get more complicated

its normal, he was your first love, he will always have a special place in your heart!
