Can anyone tell me where is a good place to move other then the New York area?

You are the only one who can make that decision.  It really depends on where you would want to move.  What type of city, town, suburb, employment rates, expenses, etc. that you have in mind.  Personally I would not like to live in a large city.  I prefer a small community.  I hope you find the place that you will enjoy.  Keep looking you will find it.  Good luck
