« on: February 01, 2014, 08:01:00 am »
I just did Turbo Tax and sent my Taxes in on January 30th... I'm proud of this however my hubby wants to pay for it and I do it for FREE... I'll let him pay for it next year...

I never tried Turbo Tax. I think our taxes are a little too complicated for me. I'd rather have a CPA do them..even though it's way more expensive.

You can deduct CPA & other tax services off your taxes, so if you itemize, that is the way to go to take advantage of all the tax breaks.    :)

I have tried many tax programs they are all good. Ones easier than other, but they all do the same thing. Be aware that there are some that you have to pay for the state. There is one that you don't it's for low income people of 39000 and lower a year. Look it up. I don't think I could say it here in FusionCash.  :(

You save $$$$$ by doing your taxes yourself.  Plus, no one else will know all your business.

As long as you are making sure you are entering everything in correctly and getting all your credit and deductions why not! Save yourself $300.

That's how I do it. I do our taxes every year through TaxAct. Hopefully, we will get a refund this year.  :)

Hubby does ours. And he has always been right on them. If i were to be by myself someday i will have a cpa or another tax company do them. H&r block

I always use the H&R block Software formerly called Taxcut. I always do my own taxes-CPA's are too expensive.

Everyone already knows everyone's business these days.  Privacy is a thing of the past.
I was trying to pay my house city taxes on line, & I could see what everyone in my neighborhood paid for their house, & how much they pay in taxes......all right there in the open, not even logging in to see it.

Everything is so George Orwellian, Big Brother & the rest of the world is watching you........  :-X

I also use Turbo Tax and love that program. I never send them in until April, however, as I always owe a bundle including penalties for not paying sooner.

If you know what your doing you can save $$. Alot of times people think they know what they are doing, but actuality they are missing out.
