Emergency road service
« on: January 08, 2014, 05:44:34 pm »
Did you know in Michigan if you are driving on
The freeway and you get a flat tire, you can call
911 and let them know that you need a courtesy van service
To come and help you change your tire.

We requested them today and it only took them
About 20 minutes to get to us. They only will come if
Your are broken down on the freeway.

Great service.  :D

That is great.  I always have a fear of having a flat tire on a freeway or interstate.  I will have to check out our state.

That's really great!  Was there a charge for that service?  I'm always afraid of things like that happening, that's one reason I have AAA.

I would not have thought calling 911 would be the thing to do since you do not have an emergency.  I know our state has a truck that comes out and helps people but you don't call 911 to get them.  Not sure what the number is.  I would probably try to get to the next exit and get off the interstate and then call somebody I knew.

that's a pretty cool service to have!! I wouldn't dare get out of my truck and try to change a tire on the freeway!! I hear about good samaritans  all the time getting hit an killed helping some one change a tire--people are going to fast and don't pay attention to what they are doing cause they gotta be on that cell!!!
