slow business
« on: July 21, 2015, 06:44:52 am »
the summer can be a slow time for businesses.
I called my hairdresser to make an appointment.
She used to say she'd come later in the day close to dinnertime.
the other day, she said she  would be here after lunch, midday.

The business I work at just started slowing down this week...probably due to the hot weather we are having.  Winter months after Christmas are also unbearably slow....  :(

Kind of amazing, and nice, how people appreciate customers more when they are not doing as well!  I am amazed at how out of touch business owners can be. I owned three corporations prior to the financial melt down. I bent over backwards to be priced right and accommodate every one of my clients.  I can not believe how some business owners expect to stay alive with the treatment they dish out! We have been going to a tire place/chain for about twenty four years because we loved the staff and they proved time and time again that they could be trusted. The location got sold and the new owners are super nice but look for every opportunity to charge us more and more money. We have started testing other places and may have found a replacement.

the summer season seems to have a couple weeks of booming business, followed by weeks of slow business
