Jim Nabors Passed Away

Jim Nabors passed away today at the age of 87.  I grew up watching him on Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle USMC.  He had a great singing voice.

I remember him as the goofy, stumbling,clumsy, annoying, definitely, non-solider material, always getting in trouble with his commander in the army. He definitely, reminded me of the Disney character Goofy. Yep, another icon of my childhood gone! RIP Jim Nabors aka Private Gomer Pyle! Well, Gawlllly!......

I was saddened by this news. It doesn't seem like he was 87. But then again I can't believe I am already 51 LOL

so I was correct that Jim Nabors just passed away. it was the guy who played goober that died a long time ago. my husband thought it was Gomer. he was 2 years younger than my grandma. she turns 89 on Sunday. very sad to hear

I remember the shows he was  on. I also remember he was in the cannonball run 2 movie. He will be missed
