why would that be in the bible at all? thats violence. us girls dont want to get hit..especially from our husbands no matter what. i know i can be a pain in the but it doesnt mean i need to be hit. if u hit me i will hit u back and i will conflict more pain on u then u did on me. i get revenge and when adrenaline kicks in i dont stop. i can be very violent. dont mess with this chick. i have a temper. dont touch me unless u want to get hurt, for real.

 I have read the Bible too! I have never seen a passage saying it was okay to strike your wife. Now in alot of marriage vows people do say,cherish and obey but, there are people that have a problem with the obey part. The Lord or GOD disapprove of any violence. If a grown man hits a woman thats an automatic 60 days in jail in alot of states here in the US of A.Plus it shows how much of a coward that man is! (Later)

  no idea what Bible that would be stated in...never heard that one before.  (Are sure they weren't stating to you that it'd be ok to hit your wife with the Bible, because that would actually make more sense.)

It says in the Bible that Husbands are to Love Your Wife as Christ Loved the Church.
