« on: May 21, 2010, 08:38:34 pm »
A few weeks ago someone or some people broke into my house, through the front door! My neighbors were at work and I left to my son 1st year appt, that day. They took my Lcd Tv, dig camara. laptop and jewlery I was so mad because it was the first time it happened, I was hoping it would be recovered in a *bleep* shop but no luck. What has been taken from you??

Sorry to hear that.  I had different houses broken into years ago.  The last time someone took little worthless pieces of jewelry.  The jewelry wasn't worth anything monetarily but they were sentimental. One was a necklace a favorite aunt gave me (she's dead now but was still alive when it was taken) and a bracelet my grandmother gave to my mother who gave it to me.

Not only are you angry when someone steals but you feel vulnerable like anybody at any time can just walk into your home and take what they want.  It takes a while to get over that feeling.  Just know that they will get what's coming to them.  I believe in karma.

A long time ago when i was like 6 or 7 years old, the renters living at our house broke into our side of the house. They were able to steal things like jewelry and VCR's. After that incident, every time i left the house, i hid my toy dinosaur in the closet. Hide your dinosaurs!

had my cars broken into many times...last one made me mad, as they took some CD's that were useless to them but meant a whole lot to me.  there were plenty of other things they could have taken and they wanted those??
hey, more power to em if they love children's music program CD's for teachers...

That's such a shame. Thugs!

Someone tried to break into my house many years ago in the middle of the day on New Year's Eve, but I was off work early for the day and drove up before they could get in. They had already broken a bathroom window.

Misery loves company doesn't it?

I never really had my house broken in to. But my parents always had their car broken in to. One time my dad parked our car right outside of the laundry mat, and the whole time we were in there doing our wash someone was outside stealing their radio. Another time was in our own apartment parking lot. We came out and whoever stole the speakers in the back of my parents truck just left the back open and took off.

It's a horrible feeling. I'm sorry you have to go through it. The whole "what if's" and "if onlys." Like if only I came home sooner or if only we went outside sooner. But don't worry about it. Now is all about bouncing back from what happened and moving on. Consider it a reason to get new things. My thoughts are that it could ALWAYS be much worse. They could have stolen the whole car instead of just part of it. Although I am beyond angry that they took my stuff, at least I wasn't there when they broke in. Who knows how violent those bastards could have been? Instead of loss of property it could have been loss of life. If trying to find a silver lining in all this is hard...just hope karma is out there doing it's job.

my wife just found out that someone has taken our wedding ring set witch included her diamond engagement ring along with both wedding bands. I had to have mine cut off because of an injury to my left hand and my wife's hand swelled up so she took hers off and put them both in her jewelry box. she went to look for them the other day and they were gone from where she put them.she cried when she tried to explain it to me.

I had a break in when I lived in a pretty bad neighborhood. After that I put some more valuable things in a storage facility until I moved. When I went to get them, it had been robbed and everything was gone. At least I had it insured and was able to replace the stolen items.

I've had two bicycles stolen, none of them recently.  I guess the demand for black market bikes isn't what it used to be.

I took mine off  because my hand was swollen from pregnancy too it was in the drawer in plain sight but from moving stuff around they missed them both (diamond and band)I was so relieved.

I'm very sorry to hear about what happened to you a few weeks ago. I've never been robbed, but I know people who have. One of my classmates last week had her car parked, near by her house, as she approached her car the windows were broke out on the passenger side. She told me she had fixed it, but she still is unhappy. I told not to worry, but to be careful, when she goes to her car. Anyway, she's o.k. thank goodness. My advice is to you is to file a police report, and invest in a alarm that will signal to the police department. That will make you few a little safe, knowing that someone is watching over you. The final choice is to move, somewhere else, that would be a good choice, bull it will not solve the problem. The location where you decide to move , could be worser. Try to be careful and look out for self when your on the way home. ???

sorry to hear about that, thats terrible, i think crime is going up everywhere, please do hide your stuff, and maybe i think the best thing to do is to get a guard dog, maybe an alarm system to protect your place.

I had some air conditioners stolen from my rent houses. They weren't broken into, the workers left them unlocked.
