bringing troops home then sending 30,000 more right over dosen't count in my book. he could have easily industrialized hemp. then we would have millions of new jobs to produce millions of new quality products. that would have created jobs. he was confronted with this question and made a joke about it. pardon my freedom of speech but obama isn't *bleep*, ron paul would have did better than obama. obama dosen't even deserve the title of president. he's a puppet to wall street and the federal reserve.

In all honesty...you aren't going to find a politician worth much because anyone would have to be certifiable to want to take the job of President...or any of the supporting law making roles.  There is so much responsibility, and you really can't please everyone.  No matter who it is that is in office, the same statement will come about...In all honesty, Plato via Aristotle had it right...no one in the role of President will deserve the role, because no person of character will want the role.  Every four years, it is up to Americans to choose the lesser of two evils.  Any president will be a puppet to the interest groups behind their election and re-election.  The day after Obama won the election, he began his re-election campaign.

And, in all honesty, I don't see anyone industrializing hemp anytime soon.  Its too taboo, regardless of how helpful it may be.

I do differ regarding Reagan and Bush.  They cleared up many things as presidents.  Reagan's authority and wisdom had this country's economy turned around for the people. Now look where it's going.

I'm definitely going to have to agree to disagree on that one.  Trickle-down economics was only good for the rich...but I do understand that anything I may say negative about Reagan will have to stand up to much scrutiny considering how beloved the Gipper was.  :D
  That he was!  lol

if the people stand up and wake up and get off the bandwagon. they could get past the puppets and throw wall street back out of our offices and the people can take the power back and we can have a government that isn't full of corrupt bastards

You remind me of how I was when I first graduated high school.  Once I started studying government in detail in college, I changed a great deal...became very disillusioned.  Two quotes that I remember from college, but couldn't remember who to credit the statements to, are "The masses are asses" and "If you're young and a Republican, you don't have a heart.  If you're old and a Democrat, you don't have a brain."  I have become more conservative as I've gotten older, yet I'm still very progressive compared to a great many.  And...I'm a Clinton/Gore fan.  I think that team did a great deal of good for this country.  W, on the other hand...well, don't get me started.   :sad1:

amy, are you insisting that it isn't criminal and unconstitutional to allow the banks to rob people, pledge future taxes on the people for collateral and thier own profit, along with allowing an unelected unappoined group of billionaire THUGS to influence and decide our future???

I'm not insisting anything.  Don't place words into my mouth.  This statement has nothing to do with what I said.

The nature of the President's cabinet is that they can appoint whomever they wish...whether it is a wall street billionaire or a hobo living on the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue.  I understand you're passionate...I was the same way, and I still am about a great many things.  Once you've spent time studying and seeing it in action in person, though, things will most likely change.  Jumping me on this forum, however, will not change a thing.

In all honesty i was not too keen on Obama in the office. To be fair though by time he got into office we were all screwed already. I believe he has been trying to do the best he can with the situation he had been handed. I do not believe any one could have us back where the "people" want us to be as quickly as the "people" demanded it. Does not matter who the president is some one is always going to like them and others will never like them.
That doesn't erase his empty promises that no one asked him to make or his socialist views on society...or more importantly his total lack of Americanism.

How many of you endorse/support obama, and the rest of our govnt included in the equation? and what are your reasons?
*sigh*,  :-X  I guess that means that those who do NOT endorse/support Obama, etc., cannot respond..........  :dontknow:
No, this is definitely an open discussion. i want to hear everyone's views on this. just no bandwagon riders allowed.
Thank you!  I do not support him overall.  First off, I would like to see proof of eligibility to be in this office of President.  I do not like or feel good about some of the ties he has with certain groups (not named for now because I don't want to start sparks of fire.)  With these groups and the things he's done/supported/changed, I feel we are headed for more of a socialist nation.  We were not started that way and I do not like the possibility of losing certain freedoms and being controlled more and more by the government. I'll add more later. :)
i absolutely agree with every word.

Also he is contributing to just burning the constitution. He has a large bandwagon full of bandwagon supporters. ignorant people who claim to support him but don't know a thing about what he's done as far as politics go

so true

I voted for Obama.

I was disillusioned with McCain and his neck-breaking flip-flopping, plus Sarah Palin makes me physically ill.  I also was a Biden supporter in the primaries...although, I was saddened by the way he jumped to attention when Obama offered him the position of running mate.  I figured voting Obama was voting the lesser of two evils.  He seemed to be in line ideologically with my beliefs when I would read about him online, but I have yet to see him deliver on his promise of hope...although, the man has only been in office less than 21 months.  You can't fix 8 years in less than 2.  In all honesty, I believed Clinton/Gore were on the right track to "fixing," for lack of a better word, the mess this country is in.  Clinton/Gore were on the track of fixing 12 years of Reaganomics and Bush mistakes in 8 years (with about a decade left of work)...let's give Obama a bit more time.

Even if Obama does accomplish what he wants to accomplish, I don't agree with his goals.

Have you read this before??
A letter from Lou Pritchett:

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike
any of the others, you truly scare me. You scare me because after
months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive
Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no
visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth
growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't
 understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming
 others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself
 with
radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce
these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America ' crowd
 and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style
 country
where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a
 government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing
on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that
lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the
world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against
 certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging
 you
on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider
opposing
points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and
 omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you
 do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs,
Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of
 view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably
 not
feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

 Lou Pritchett
That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.
