Just my opinion on  : we have four Poles, right. yet it looks Round. Can we visualize it as a square mentally
If you draw a line connecting each pole will make it square. N-W,   W-S,  S-E,  E-N,
Circle or Square  Think about it ?

well yea if you draw lines from the poles it will make a square, but obvisouly the pictures taken from outter space show that it's a sphere

it's not an assumption its a fact....based on science and observation....so ya not really a choice there unless you were born in like the 1500s...

I agree with some of the other folks who have posted on this. Just the fact that there is positive proof that the Earth is round. Although, you do make some interesting points about it. I have a hard time imagining the Earth as a giant square floating around. :peace:

LOLOLOL  Oh, this made me laugh!!  I needed some humor today.....thank you.  While I understand the conceptual thinking, many shots from space show the earth to be round. All of the planets in our system are round also.  If we were a cube, what "point" would we be spinning on our axis?  Think of a cube, now spin it.  There would be areas not getting enough "spin", and others getting too much.

I'm still amused and you made my day.  I'm not making fun at you, just that your question made me "visualize" a square world....funny!

I guess it could make since if it wasn't already proven many years ago that the earth is round. Can't really imagine the world being square

I think it was Magellin who proved the world to be round quite a few years ago.
Have a wonderful day!
