I am not afraid of dying, we all start dying from the time we are born, just a natural life cycle, I just worry about my 3 wonderful sons and how they will do after I am gone, even though I can not do anything about their situations (unless I come back an haunt them! LOL!) :angel11:

I am not afraid of death.  However, I do fear the process of dying.  It doesn't seem like there's a painless or easy way to go.  But death itself?  No.

I'm not afraid to die because my faith in Jesus Christ has prepared me for the afterlife. Death is just a portal or door to leave this natural kife into eternal life.

in my belief you are to never die, you simply go to a place between the worlds wher stay till ready to try again (reincarnated), so why would i fear death if you truly never do die,  but in the invent you do get it right in life, the you become one with the universe....

Nope, when it's my time, I have no issues with going.  I'm not quite ready yet, but that won't matter much when it happens will it

Hmmm Sheryl, I don't think I would want to know that. I heard in a movie (Paycheck) that when people know their future they stop living their lives. I think that's true. Sure the movie was fiction and looking into the future is not really possible but the concept of the tragedy of it rings true I think. If I knew I was going to die tomorrow I would spend my last moments thinking of dying instead of living...that may not be true for some, but it seems to be something that is part of the human condition.

I died once. Then while there was only a small voice deep inside myself did I heard that voice rebukeing death in the name of Jesus. I remember comeing back to life about that time.

I would have to say that I am not afraid to die.  My belief system helps me out on that.  I have a brother who is terminal with cancer, he is not afraid.  However, he fights the cancer with everything he has, so that his wife and kids will have time to adjust to his departure.

No i am not afraid to die. God has my soul. I live in him. My sins have been forgiven.

Nope.....just a step into Glory!
I think before someone can truly feel they are not afraid to die they should watch someone die.  It is heart wrenching, frightening, agonizing, and just a horrible thing to go through.

To watch and hear that last breath slip from the lungs as they shut down forever, makes you stop breathing, you feel your heart skip a few times and then beat hard against your chest forcing you to take that first breathe.  You stand there alive in a pool of tears as your loved ones lays there in a corpse, not knowing what has just happened.

You talk to them for a time waiting for the mortician to arrive with gurney and a body bag.  The stories pour out of your mouth trying to keep that spark of life going between you and the immediately departed.  But they don’t answer back, not in a way you can hear them.

Your lifeline to them is severed and now you spend your days in mourning.  I fear death and you should too!
But I fear the dentist too!

Do you have kids?

When one has made his/her peace with God, death becomes nothing more than a door into a glorious eternity.

Not afraid to die.  Afraid of saying goodbye and leaving others.  Want to get as much of my time on Earth right. :BangHead:
