looking for legitimate work

Most things I am finding here dont seem to be very legitimate. They seem to only want you to buy something. I have a family and am serious about making money. I dont wantto waste my time or familys time. I have spent the last 4 or 5 days spending hours doing surveys and such and only made $9.31. any advice?
