Personality. Someone can the most physically attractive person out there, but it won't mean nothing if they are complete jerks.

Personality.  Beautiful to one person just might not be beautiful to another.  Like they say, beauty is only skin deep. Personality stays with you.

I prefer both. I like to have my cake and eat it to. It’s a lot better that way. A person can be cute but with out the personality their just another pretty face in the crowd.

I think looks can get you far, but if you don't have a personality, I think you're going to feel really empty at the end of the day when you can't hold down a partner. At the same time, though, if you don't keep yourself looking presentable, then I think it's going to be difficult for people to see past that and get to know your personality. A good balance is always nice.

I'd have to say both... I have met and gotten to know women that have a very nice personality, but their looks have completely turned me off. Likewise there are women that I'd consider to be gorgeous, but their attitude becomes their downfall in my eyes. Now, when it comes to beauty, it doesn't necessarily mean having to look like a model or a life-sized Barbie doll. Rather I think it has to do with the care one puts into their appearance and how they live within their own body. For example, there are two women at the place I sign karaoke. Both are overweight and thus some men may at least not feel are the most attractive women around. They both have very nice personalities, but one of them maintains her appearance much better than the other. One dresses with modern styles, brushes out her hair, adds the right touch of makeup, and basically tries to look her best, even when I've seen her dressing casually for running errands. The other wears sweatpants, frumpy shirts, tucks her hair under a hat, and basically makes it look like her appearance is the last thing she'd worry about. As a result I have dated the attractive one, but the other I wouldn't even consider to date.

I also disagree with the statement that "looks fade"... Youth may fade, but looking attractive doesn't necessarily fade with youth. Now I don't mean using plastic surgery or botox to try to escape aging. I mean that there are some women that continue to look attractive by the way they dress, groom themselves, etc. My one grandmother always wore the latest fashions, wore her makeup well, and just paid attention to her looks. People would even comment saying that she looked like a woman in her 40's-50's instead of one that was in her 80's.

Call me superficial I'm choosing beauty because I'd like to see what it's like to be drop dead gorgeous.  Beautiful people get treated better I've seen it with my own eyes.
