I won the South African lottery the other day. The only catch is I need to send money to get money. I am very cautious  about anything that comes through the mail or e-mail. There are way to many scams out there. Go with your gut felling.

South African Lottery? haha that's a good one. My wife received an offer to tutor someone who would be living here from England.  The ad was actually in the newspaper classifieds and someone sent gave her the page. After the first reply I told her not to send another message or contact them again. I did some online searching and found that  person's name and email advertising in small newspapers all over the US.
crazy,. It was another one of those We send you $500 check you keep a hundred, put the rest in a specified routing number account for someone else kinda deals. yeesh.

I fell victim of one of these scams.. the mystery shopper thing like everyones been talkin about they send u a huge check and u keep some and send the rest via moneygram and western union. Lucky for me I deposited the check in my account and the bank found it "fony" and sent it back and I had to report it.. sad thing is, these people keep gettin away with this stuff off innocent and nieve people(like me)

yeah, those are scams. I had one of those in the mail and I've ripped it up as soon as I saw it. The best way to get rid of these scams is to be aware of it and educate others about it.

Yes, I hate when people try taking advantage of others, as if someone has money to handing over to them, we need our money just as bad as they're trying to get it. I've received two of those crazy checks and yes, I did the same thing looked at it and laughed first because in my mind I said not this one you won't get and then trashed it.  I couldn't believe I got a second one, I guess they said well we didn't get her the first time, but well try again, NOT.  Yes, I hope everyone becomes aware of these crazy scam artist.

I sure hope you haven't put it into your checking account if you do you could possible lose every bit of money you have in it.  They get your info once you cash it/ deposit it.  Its a scam!!!  Shred it.  Look it up online you will see.

Wow, that really sounds like a scam, and not even a good scam. At least give the name of a lottery that sounds real. At least that is how I see it. lol

I got a check a few years back from "Worldwide winners" $2500 check, no paperwork, nothing but the check and in the memo it said winnings whatever week- whatever week.  The website was a gambling site and I am an online gambler and I sign up and play at alot of different sites, so at first I was like "heck-ya", but then I soon realized I hadn't been a member of that site. I first called the bank that the check was drawn on and the fund were there, but when I called the company they were shocked and said they hadn't issued the check and instructed me to send it directly to the fraud department at their headquarters. I dont know how someone could of profited off of me cashing that check. My police friend said I would of definatly would of been charged for bank fraud had I of cashed it.

I THANK GOD FOR MY WIFE who looked into the check, heck I woulda just deposited that check thinking it was one of my other sites
