not so sure that fake is all that "green" beyond the dye for the needles.
Fake trees are made of plastic which takes oil.
Mostly they are made in China so it takes oil to get them here.
Then it takes trucks to deliver them to the store which is more oil.

Real trees can be grown reasonably local for most parts of the country (except perhaps FL, most of TX and HI). Plus after Christmas, they can by run through a chipper and used as mulch.

Now, you can make a serious argument that fake trees are cheaper int he long run. Especially when you buy your new fake tree after Christmas for 75% off.

I love the way a real tree smells.  But I use a fake tree because it is much less of a mess.

I pefer fake trees.  Real trees require too much work plus the needles get all over the floor.
Fake trees are easier to handle but ,I perfer the real deal keeping things real to show the meaning of Christmas. We tendto celebrate for the wrong reasons for Christmas the old traditional way was always good.

Even though fake trees make less mess I prefer real trees. The best part of having a Christmas tree is the smell of pine thru out the house but because I am one that believes in save a tree I always use an artificial tree every Christmas.

I heard that forest officers were asking people to disguard your christmas trees in the lakes....for the fishes.  Because the older the lakes get the less trees and branches the fish have for safety.  They do ask you clean your tree first, not dump the lights too.

Real...for sure!!!!!  Fake just isn't the same.  It just isn't the same if it isn't real.  You need the smell of a real pine tree for it to really feel like xmas.

I pefer fake trees.  Real trees require too much work plus the needles get all over the floor.

When my children were small I would always get a real tree, then when I moved and they grew up and out on there own I bought a fake tree, Now my daughter always gets a real tree which is every ones preference so I vote for real tree.

That's true. However, I think real trees smell nice and you just get this more of a "christmas" atmosphere in the home, you know?

I prefer a real tree and can't stop loving the smell of the real tree! However, I use a fake one like most people in order to save tons of money over the years.
