Person who created updates needs to be shot
« on: December 31, 2011, 01:28:06 pm »
I ended up getting the Pirates and Nobles expansion pack for Christmas and like an idiot I ended up loading it directly to the Sims Medival folder rather than creating a sub-folder.  So I had to uninstall both and only had time to reinstall Sims Medieval—which I did.  Then I go to play it and it tells there is an updated version and I need to install that.  Well it took 15min to download it.  After that I had to install the update which took another 15min only to be told there was an error and it couldn’t install the patch.  I was so made and just figured the heck with the update.  Well now it won’t let me play it at all because I get the message that I need to install the update.  Why all of a sudden do programs need an update?  Why can’t they go back to making stuff the way they used to where you can just load the program once and it works until your computer glitches?
