Bad allergies or a cold?
« on: March 28, 2012, 11:28:00 am »
back in October I was sick like a dog and went back to my doctor twice.  The second time she told me as long as you don’t have a sore throat it’s not a cold it’s allergies.  I never suffered with allgeries in my life until we had a bad flood in the basement and all the carbord boxes got soaked.  I was down there once a week throwing out stuff and two weeks ago I was down there for only one hour.  One hour and not only did I come up sick but I’ve had a bad allergy attack which still hasn’t gone away.  I never new that allergies could attack a person the same way as a cold (including the green mucus which is a sign of infection).  But as long as there is no sore throat it is an allergy attack not a cold.  Makes me wonder how many others are walking around thinking they have a cold when it’s really allergies.

There's a strong possibility of a mold allergy, from what you mentioned.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

If your chest is staying congested, ie restricted breathing, it's possible you may have mold growing in your basement at that time and you inhaled some of it.  It can cause breathing problems and allergy symptoms and even spread through the home.  It's a good idea to make sure there's no mold hiding around any previously wet areas.

If you're allergic to the beach, consider not going there.  Otherwise, consider literacy because a mind is a terrible thing, (to waste).
