Grants Pass Oregon

Took a short trip to Grants Pass Oregon. Beautiful area. Was checking to see if we could find a nice home to rent, and like the smaller outlying areas better. So will keep checking. Just want to get out of downtown Portland Oregon, that is for sure.

Watch the economy down there. Sounds like the guy that had a leg amputated to cure a hangnail to me. I used to live in Eagle Point, but there were no jobs I could find other than sanding log trucks for painting and cutting firewood for 10 bucks a cord. If you just want out of the city, try Forest Grove or even Vernonia. You get your small town, but it's only a short drive if you need anything in the city.

I agree, Grants Pass is a nice area.  I've stopped there and stayed over a number of times in many trips from Washington to California and back.  My favorite area outside of Grants Pass is heading out highway 199 toward Crescent City.  Love the smaller towns along the route.  Close to all the shopping needed in Grants pass, but out in the country in a small town atmosphere.  Perfect for me!  Good luck finding your perfect place to live. I like Portland, but wouldn't want to live there. I can understand your desire to move.   :)
