Pigeon Forge, TN Fires

Sad to see the fires at some resorts/cabins in Pigeon Forge, TN. I live in Georgia and love to travel there for vacation.  Any thoughts or opinions?

Wow! I didn't see this.  Love that area and hate to think of its destruction.  It looks like several cabins have burned (high winds are pushing the flames from location to location) and they have evacuated about 150 people.  They also have helicopters dropping slag on the fires.   Maybe they will get some of the rain that is hitting here and help the firefighters out.

seeing wild fire in any area causes so most detruction... Hate to see them anywhere!!!  Hope these early fires isnt what we are in for the rest of the fire season.  Love pigeon forge

it was really sad.  the area is beautiful......i grew up just a couple hours up north near bristol

I haven't heard of this either and I'm in ATL. We were just talking about taking the girls there during the summer. :-
