Im looking to purchase a new vehicle and Im wondering which you prefer (suv or minivan) and which model do you like best? One preferrably with good gas mileage!

I own an SUV and love it.  Go around and drive all the models that you like check there mileage per galon or whatever is called and but the one that you feel more comfortable in.  I own a 4 runner and is the best investment I have done ever.

I hope to get a SUV some day. One like a liberty or Escape.

We have a '99 GMC Suburban- not so good gas mileage (about 13 mpg). We also have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee (20+ MPG). We'd have two Jeeps if they held more passengers. I love how it handles. However, my Suburban maneuvers much better than I thought it would when I first saw it.

I did like my old Dodge Grand caravan. It had stow and go. I could put sports gear in the hidden cavities of the van so that we wouldn't trip on them. In the winter, we put our coats in there while we were driving. We got rid of it only because we didn't want a car payment any more.

We have a Ford Expedition EL and I don't think I could ever have a van. I like being able to sit higher. It seems safer for my kids. With the vans, it always seems like the kids are sitting right in the windows. I like the room in our expedition and we have the extra long so we can fit a ton of stuff behind the third row of seats.

I stay away from SUVs and Minivans due to the gas mileage issue.  I'm getting great mileage right now on a smaller car.
