They are so entertaining. My cat loves playing with her stuffed mice. She picks them up with he class and flings them around the room then chases after them as fast as she can. She also likes playing with/eating bugs out on the back porch. Silly animals :)

This is my kitty, El-ahrairah.  (The name comes from the book Watership Down.)  He is extremely talkative and a big fat silly goose.

We piled stuff on him and took this pic last summer.  This was taken with my cell phone so it is a little blurry.

I have a cat this same color named Smokey!

Our cat plays Fetch sometimes just like a dog does.

He also opens the bathroom vanity drawer and pulls out the girls' ponytail holders.  He brings them downstairs meowing like he is ACE hunter and has caught a huge prey!

@Nannycoe1:  We often say that our boy is the color of smoke.  He blends into shadows.   :cat:

My cat is hilarious when she's trying to take off at a run, because we have hardwood floors so she just runs in place for a minute before slipping and sliding around.

I agree with patycake56 and cats are also so clean and they rarely ever smell, especially if they are indoor cats as my kitty is.  She never ceases to crack me up.
If I open a dresser drawer, she will go inside the drawer.  Or if I am packing a suitcase, she will go inside and lay down on my clothes.  Kids are also great with their intelligence and humor.  You never know what they are going to say or do next.

I have two boy cats that will be two years old next month.  The Norwegian Forest cat is very vocal at times but he is never annoying, I love to hear him "chattering" and sometimes it sounds like he's singing.  He's got alot of personality and is full of mischief, loves to steal and hide anything he can get his paws on.  The other is a domestic shorthair, he's very good and never gets into trouble.  He makes sure to give my yellow lab a kiss on her nose every morning...it's so adorable!

I've also got one that looks like that. His name is Ratatouille named after the rat in the movie. My friend (that owns 3 cats) originally had him. Since she loves to cook and works in a liquor store, she tries to name her cats after a food. So since ratatouille is a food as well as a gray, furry character in a movie, she decided to go with that. She was also considering Smoky G (as in Smoked Gouda) but after hearing from some other friends, decided to go with the former. And actually after seeing his personality, I think Ratatouille works best... When I think of "Smoky G" I think of some blues / jazz musician, just acting mellow and laid back. But my cat is always curious and tends to get into trouble because of that, just like Ratatouille from the movie.

The first time I heard him chatter, I first thought that there was a raccoon or squirrel in the house; I never knew cats did that! Then I found him crouching on the kitchen table, tail whipping back and forth, staring avidly out the sliding glass door to the hillside in back where several birds were pecking away in the grass. Now I know that when I hear him do that, he's hunting. It's interesting that cats do that as a signal that they're hunting, esp. since most of their hunting tactics relies on stealth, sneaking up on their prey and then pouncing. You'd think that the chattering would be counterproductive...
