I hear you! I wear glasses and hate them. I did wear contacts about  20  years ago and I do not know why I stopped.

I know several people that have had the surgery to correct their vision. I am a little chicken not to mention it is expensive.

I wore glasses from elementary to middle school and then I got contacts in 8th grade and have been wearing them ever since. I wear my glasses when my eyes need a break from them though. Contacts are still a pain putting in and taking out. I kind of wish I could get laser eye surgery, if my insurance covers it..

I have allergies too bad in my eyes so I can't wear contacts.  I'm wearing bifocals now.  I have one eye that is far-sighted and one eye that is near-sighted.  Almost to the same extremes in opposite directions.
