I am glad that I was not old enough to have to endure the disco years.  I love all types of music, but I am so glad that disco died. :icon_rr: :sad1:

I like the disco music 100 times more than some of this new stuff, if you have kids around you have to bleep most of it out. Sometimes you will start watching a movie and that will be the end of it, because the music they play before the movie, you just know this is something you are not going to like.

Disco music to me is a kind or style of dance/pop music.  Dance music and pop will always be with us. I think that the reason disco seems cheesy to some is because of everything else that went along with it and not so much the music.  The height of the "disco" craze was 30 years ago, and music from decades ago will or could sound dated.  Music styles come and go.  Even music from the 80's or 90's could seem out of style to many listeners.

disco is not completly dead, there are still places you can go like a disco dance club or roller rinks. Almost every roller rink has a disco night!

No disco aint dead cause it's on my ipod, LOL...To be serious, if your parents or older siblings listen to disco like my family did, the next generation will pick it up, but I doubt if people will be making new disco albums in this day in age. So in a way it is dead, but I still jam to it.  :icon_rr:

I don't think so because the clubs still play some kind of disco music to get people on the floor.
