That is so crazy!  Re-affirms my belief in the use of pre-paid cards for shopping.

I'll still shop at Target and the irony is I think the store is now even more safer than other a number of other retailers as they're re-reviewing their security in greater detail.

I only used my Target RedCard during that time, nothing has happened to my account yet but I've been wondering if I should replace my card just in case...

I had not heard that about target.  The closes one to me is over 119 miles away so I don't shop there anyways but I feel bad for everyone who got hacked I do know how that feels and I don't wish it on no one.  I just can't believe someone who do that don't they know it the people who are just getting by it affects them worse than those who don't have to worry about money.

Rarely do I shop at Target. Their prices are to expensive for us to shop at.

Thanks for the heads up! I will let my wife and extended family members know about this new and developing news. Too bad for those people who have been robbed out of their money. Makes more sense to just use cash nowadays. Mahalo!

Whenever you use a credit card or debit card for any kind of transaction you're putting yourself at risk. I'm going to use my debit card less and less because it's not secure and since it's attached to my bank account, I have a lot of money that can be wiped out. :(

I'm going to gradually switch to those reloadable cards, credit cards (easier to fight fraud), and cash.

This is such a shame. The very card that is supposed to be so recommended because the credit card manufacturer shares the liability, is now one of the worst cards to use. I wonder what can be done about this. Do we need the stores to take some liability also?
