Per everyone's suggestions, call that specific center; every one is different and has various regulations.  Congrats on being able to see your daughter!! May she derive from prison with a different mentality and perspective of life than when she went in. This could be her cocooning period in life; it may be necessary for her transition to being a phenomenal woman.

So mydaughter has been in jessup womens correctional institute since march i finally get to go see her saturday and take her 1 month old daughter to see her anyone have any clue as to the rules do i take diaper or diaper bag can i take bottle im clueless

You could probably call the correctional institute and they will tell you what you can and cannot bring with you.  They may even have a website available where those rules can be found.

Hensly...not sure anyone mentioned this.....your daughter should have a counselor and you would be able to speak with them over the phone.

For the future write any questions you have down in advance and maybe the counselor will give you quality answers to help you out.

Hang in there.Having a child incarcerated is no picnic.Just always remember even when put to the test....LOVE NEVER FAILS!!

i WISH U WELL!!

they are not gonna do a cavity search!!  As long as you don't have anything illegal with you, you don't have to worry about anything. that simple.

You can go on line or call the facility you are going to visit and they will tell you everything.  They will definitely go through everything you  bring for the visit.  But if you call ahead it should make it a lot easier to actually get in to see your daughter.  It is usually a very limited amount of items you can take in with you.
I agree, calling would be best.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

I would think that you could take a diaper bag but it will be extensively searched. I have a sister in law who has been in jail for eleven year...she gets out next year-a few months after her sixtieth birthday. She liked to drink beer-a lot of it on Saturdays from the confines of her own home. She would walk to church on Sundays and take the bus to work Monday through Friday. One fateful Saturday she had her normal large amount of beer, went to bed for eight hours, off to church the next morning. After service her husband asked her to go with him to pick up a car for their daughter. On the way home she fell asleep and hit/killed a motorcyclist. She was a percentage point over the limit and jail has been her home since. Had she been involved in this accident a mile earlier she would have received a six month stint. The Bikers girl friend and family asked that my sister in law not be incarcerated-the judge over rode these requests.

Sounds like they may have been lenient in letting all be in the same room. Most prisons have facilities to only allow communication through a glass partition where you have to speak through a phone like device.
