I am handicapped so I don't go out to work and my husband does not want me to do any work around the house unless either he or the 20 year old is at home. If my heart kicks in and nobody is home... So I occupy myself with reading. It is a great stress reliever for me which keeps my heart from racing... So now onto my count... It's been a while since I was able to come up to the library and get on the computers so since the last time I was on I have finished 2 more books and am almost half way through another. The next book in the series doesn't come out until Sept. so I am going to have to figure out what to read in the mean time.

I appreciate how much you read because that's quite an accomplishment. And obviously, you're very proud of that fact and deservedly so.

But is there some reason why you can't suggest some good books to read for the rest of us instead of just tallying the number of books you've read?  ??? I'm sure many of us would really appreciate it.  :highfive:

If I have the time, I usually read about 3-4 books in a week.  I am an avid reader so it depends on the time I might have with other things I like.

It depends on the size of the book and how much time I have but I most likely read from 2 to 4 books a week.  The smaller "Intrigue" books only last me 1 or 2 days but the larger books take me several days to read.  The book I'm reading now (Never Coming Back by Tim Weaver) is probably going to take me 4 or 5 days to complete.

I tend to read a lot of the different historical romances by various authors but I really enjoy Lynsay Sands(both her historical and vampire), Lara Adrian, Maggie Shayne and Cassie Edwards. I hope this helps you. They aren't small books, there is at least 300 pages per book. I don't really like books that are less then that... Now then... I finished my second book for the month on Friday evening and started a new Historical I found at the library(new in the sense that I haven't read it yet but new as in just published...) I'm waiting for book seven to come in of Lara Adrians Breed series. Hopefully by time I finish this book in the next couple days I would think. (If I can get rid of this on going migraine.)

I finished the Lynsay Sands book on Tuesday evening so that is four for the month. The Lara Adrian book still hasn't come in yet so I started a Cassie Edwards book on Wednesday morning and I am already on page 112. Should be done in the next couple days and can try to get 6 in for the month before next Sunday. Or at least 5 1/2.

I am more into reference books so I am constantly looking things up.  Like gardening ideas or recipes.  In a year I will start around 5 books and get half way through them.  Might pick them up later but just really  don't take the time to read like I used to

I love to  read, but rarely have time for it anymore. I did just rent some library books though, and I'm hoping to have them all read by the time my renewals are up. I have lots of books here at my house as well that I have still have to finish. It's just that sometimes, I read a book, and then I decide I want to read another genre and switch to that one. I like anything about space, science fiction, history, or science. Yep, I'm a nerd, but I love it!

Okay so I finished the Cassie Edwards book late Sunday night and I got the call from the library on Monday that book 7 of the Lara Adrian series was finally in. However I didn't get to stat it until tues. morn. I did get to page 200 of 383 last night before cutting my light out at 11:30 so I did get the 5 1/2 books in for the month.

I am an Avid reader and as for how many books I may read in a week, month or even year is a non starter.  I never count them, never have.
